THE INSTITUT CATALÀ DEL PEU CONDUCTS A BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS TO THE BICYCLE RIDER LEON CAMIER.

The Institut Català del Peu recently carried out a new biomechanical survey to the British bicycle rider Leon Camier.

Leon Camier is a rider of the Superbikes championship of the Moriwaki-Althea motor-racing team. He has been the British champion of 2005 Supersport and the British champion of Superbikes in 2009.

The surveys involved making tests of functional assessment, like the strength when clenching, articular levels, as well as the biomechanical survey of the power in the bicycle, given that cycling is the sport riders play in order to train the body. Another survey which is being carried out is the analysis of the muscular activation during the simulation when braking, in order to reveal how the muscular activation is during the simulation when braking, muscular decompensations, possible muscular fatigue and to reveal excess loads for its subsequent treatment.
