THE INSTITUT CATALÀ DEL PEU CREATES THE FITMETRIC GRANTS FOR THE MOST PROMINENT CYCLISTS OF THE CATALAN CYCLING FEDERATION.

On the last 26^th of November, Fitmetric, by the Institut Català del Peu, our sporting biomechanics team, was in the gala prizes of the 2022 season of the Catalan Cycling Federation in order to give the grants of biomechanics to the four award-winning cyclists for their sporting achievements in the road cycling form and mountain bike.Our grants emerge from a collaboration plan with the Catalan Cycling Federation, after knowing about our services and the importance for the sportsman/sportswoman. These grants are a service for the cyclist in order to guarantee the health and performance of cyclists through the study of the position and his/her correction on bike, functional assessment, strength and podiatry examination with the aim of preventing lesions and put one more grain of sand for the improvement of their performance next to the cyclist’s technical team.The grants were given to each cyclist during the awards ceremony. At the end of it, Mr. Josep March Claret, territorial representative of sports in Barcelona, thanked us for contributing this task to cyclists, giving support to this initiative for its great importance for the health and performance of sportsmen/sportswomen. We get usually used in the world of sport to awarding the prize to success with medals and trophies, therefore, such initiative of awarding the prize with professional work in order to keep the health and the performance of the sportsman/sportswoman, highlights, above all, by the existence of a professional team involved into the sporting plan of each young sportsman/sportswoman who comes to our installations. It is a great honor for our team to be able to carry out this plan.
