THE INSTITUT CATALÀ DEL PEU CONDUCTS A BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS TO MIREIA BENITO, WHO WON THE BRONZE MEDAL IN 2019 SPAIN’S CHAMPIONSHIP.

The Institut Català del Peu, conducts functional and biomechanical assessment tests to the cyclists of the Massi-Tactic women UCI, through the Biomechanical Department of the Sporting Performance.

Today, let’s talk about Mireia Benito. Mireia is a cyclist who combines cycling with her degrees of Molecular Biology and Biomedicine. She is an outstanding cyclist by her progress. She has a great list of achievements: she is the current third in Spain, several championships in Catalonia and losing finalist in route and against the clock in Catalonia. She is a multipurpose cyclist, it is remarkable for how comfortable she is in cycling climb field.

The Institut Català del Peu conducted these tests like a control in order to have a starting point at the end of the 2020 atypical season. Shortly, new tests will be carried out for the 2021  pre-season.

The aim between the Institut Català del Peu and the staff of Massi-Tactic entails carrying out podiatryc explorations, functional and biomechanical assessments to cyclists to avoid that runners will arrive with upsets or musculars deficiencies at the height of the season. Besides, the Biomechanics Department of the Institut Català del Peu, counts on the manager of the staff, the coach and the trainer, in order to, that among the different professionals, we can talk about the results and make the appropriate decisions to deal with the performance of the sportswomen and they will be fit as best as possible.

We hope that the 2021 season will be normalized  and will bring a lot of success to the Massi-Tactic team and that our effort will help them.
