INSOLES FOR SUMMER

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

We show you an alternative treatment to traditional insoles for the hottest period of the year. Many of our patients asked us for some therapeutic solution for the summer because the wear of closed shoes between june and September it is sometimes a disadvantage. There are some patients who need to wear closed shoes in order to use insoles and this can lead to reduce its use (patients who work long periods of time in hot countries, children, women who want to wear open ladies’ shoes, people in general who enjoy their summer vacation on the coast). Our research team has developed for these cases an alternative treatment which consists to convert the therapeutic insole into an open shoe (like a sandal or a thong). Thus, we use in the making of these shoes the same elements which we incorporate to a traditional insole, such as corrective elements, discharges, metatarsal bars, etc.

We have to tell the difference between the therapeutic results among patients who use palliative insoles (to relieve painful zones without corrections) and corrective insoles (to realign the posture of our body).

The clinical trials indicated an effectiveness of a 100 % in palliative treatments and an 80 % in corrective treatments.

This decrease of the correction is mainly due to the wear of open shoes against close shoes which covers more the foot (provided that it is a shoe with a good hell stiffener and reinforcements.

We design the therapeutic sandal jointly with our patients in such a way that they can choose the colors and the subjection to the foot.

We show you this alternative treatment for those patients who will need to use insoles periodically and will want to experiment on the feeling of wearing more free and fresher the foot.
